Informative Tips
- Be on time. We cannot wait for late arrivals. Plan to check in one-half hour to an hour before your trip's departure so you will have time to get your gear and take care of last minute personal chores. We reserve the right to cancel without a refund in the event you arrive after your confirmed trip time.
- The minimum age for rafting is 8 years or 50 lbs.; for white water tubing on your own, 5 feet tall and 12 years of age; for guided white water tubing, 10 years of age; flat water tubing and canoeing, 30 pounds and 4 years of age; for kayaking, 10 years of age.
- Weather Conditions - All trips go rain or shine. We reserve the right to relocate or change raft size, number of customers per raft, and length of trip due to abnormal river flow and conditions.
- Leave your rings, jewelry and valuables at home. Waterproof disposable cameras are available in our river shop and take excellent shots. We suggest you not take expensive cameras on the river.
Your help is needed. Please carpool as much as possible. We have very limited parking, especially on weekends. Besides, it's good for the environment.
Things to Bring For River Trips
Summertime:
Cap, visor or inexpensive sun glasses; bathing suit or shorts and a T-shirt; sun screen; old tennis shoes, aqua socks, or sport sandals; towel and a change of clothes for after the trip.
Spring and Fall:
It will be a much more enjoyable experience for you if you are dressed for the weather. Cotton is a poor insulator when wet. (And you will get wet.) Don't wear it, or you will be cold. Wool, polypropylene, nylon and other synthetics are good. A nylon wind breaker, or rain gear is also a good idea. Wool socks, cap and gloves are recommended on cold days.
and are available for rent and are recommended on cooler days-$15.97 and $7.00 respectively or $21 for both. We also sell appropriate gear in our pro shop.
In Addition For Canoe Trips:
Bring a short piece of light cord if you need to secure items in the canoe, drinking water (no glass containers), lunch if desired, and a trash bag.
